Description
Bi-plane Scenic Flight from Sydney to the Blue Mountains
From the front seat of this open cockpit bi-plane you will experience a unique view of the Blue Mountains - the Three Sisters, the Skyway and the dense forest. Fly in the Pitts Special S2A aerobatic bi-plane from Bankstown, Sydney to the Blue Mountains and back.Upon your arrival Bankstown Airport, you will climb into a flight-suit and prepare to board. Your pilot will strap you securely into the open-air cockpit - fasten your flight helmet and headphones. When you are secure, your pilot will prepare the plane for take off. You will be able to hear all the calls to air traffic control and speak to your pilot through the intercom.
There will be plenty of time for your family and friends to take photographs of you as you prepare for your flight.
Once airborne you and your pilot will head west towards the Blue Mountains, dropping low over Warragamba Dam and into the spectacular Burragorang Valley. Flying 150 metres over the Warragamba Dam and the top of the magnificent escarpments, you'll experience a unique view of the lush, Eucalypt covered landscape of the Great Dividing Range.
Circling over Mt Beloon and the mouth of the Tonalli River you'll head back up the valley to Katoomba and fly past the famous Three Sisters.
On the way back to Sydney you will have the opportunity to experience some adrenaline aerobatics - exactly what the Pitts bi-plane is made for! Perhaps ty a loop and a roll - get a view of the world from a completely different perspective! Your bi-plane pilot will give you a taste of the G-Forces Baron Manfred Von Richtoffen himself may have experienced during air combat!
When you arrive back at the Red Baron Head Quarters you will spend the the rest of the day telling friends and family of your amazing experience!
