Description
Evening Penguin Parade at Phillip Island
An amzing natural spectacle - on dusk, view the wonderful site of the little penguins as they emerge from the southern surf, waddle across the sand and return to the safety of their dune rookeries. Close up view of these delightful penguins!You will travel from Melbourne to Phillip Island, where you will have the opportunity to visit the Philip Island Visitor's Centre and learn about the island's wildlife.
At dusk, you will see the beautiful little penguins, the smallest of the penguin species and the only one to breed in southern Australia. To witness the famous spectacle as the penguins leave Port Phillip Bay and return to their sand dune burrows and feed their nesting families with pilchards and anchovies is not to be missed!
There will also be the chance to see migratory Short-tailed Shearwater and other sea birds.
