Description
Bouchon at Botanicals is a charming and fully licensed French style cafe. Located in the main street of the historical town of Beechworth but hidden away well off the road in a beautiful nursery of very rare plants, Bouchon at Botanicals is sure to enchant you.
Beechworth is renowned for its great local produce and we use lots of it in the careful preparation of our meals. We also have a good list of regional wines and boutique beers produced by Bridge Road Brewers Beechworth.
Enjoy delicious brunches, lunches or morning or afternoon teas in our most appealing cafe with its stylish but rustic atmosphere. Alternatively, eat in the beautiful garden/nursery.
For the discerning plant lover, there are 60 types of Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) and some wonderful specimens of other lovely trees, including a weeping purple birch (Fagus), a contorted hazel - crazy filbert (Corylus avellana 'Contorta'), a Korean fir (Abies koreana) and a weeping larch (Larix kaempferi). Some of the plants are over 30 years old.
And our bathroom is as charming as our cafe and nursery!
Beechworth is well worth a visit. Located close to Victoria's ski fields in an area of great natural beauty, Beechworth boasts a well preserved set of fascinating buildings of great historical significance, and many interesting specialty shops. Bouchon at Botanicals is one of its most delightful cafes and there are some excellent restaurants for evening dining.
