Lorne Swing Bridge Café

In an unparalled location - where the river meets the sea - by the historic swing bridge, Lorne Swing Brdge Café is the perfect place to relax and enjoy great vegetarian food.

This lovely cafe, with its easy access to the surf beach and the family friendly river and estuary beach with paddle boats for hire, is in a world of its own, with an ambience totally different from any of the cafes in the town of Lorne itself. Lorne Swing Bridge Café is great value and fun for the whole family.

The Swing Bridge Café offers a range of scrumptious snacks and light meals, as well as ice creams and a wide range of drinks. We also have regular specials.

Fresh fruit salad is our signature dish - it is made from fresh, quality fruit and is only cut when ordered, so that it couldn't be fresher. We also offer a range of yummie biscuits.

We have a kid's menu so that the whole family can enjoy something to eat at the Swing Bridge Café.

Vegetarian and gluten free

Our food is vegetarian and we cater for coeliacs, with many of the items on our menu being gluten free.

How to get to Lorne Swing Bridge Café

You can access Swing Bridge Café by turning left at the Otway Street roundabout (at Cora Lee's Two Fat Ladys) or along the boardwalk from the caravan park opposite the supermarket. Parking is available at the end of the point next to the Café. If you are on the main beach, head north towards the river mouth.

Kids parties

We cater for kids parties with the paddle boats and fun food such as fairy bread, chocolate crackles and honey joys. These parties are by personal arrangement, with the emphasis on fun. They are generally for 1-2 hours.
