Sentinel Farm Cottage (built in the 1990s) is a charming, private, fully self contained 3 bedroom country rural retreat - the ideal place to escape from city life, whether as a couple, a group of friends or as a family.
The cottage offers luxury, privacy and seclusion, nestled on one acre of landscaped gardens on 27 acres of rolling hills and countryside. Perfectly located midway between Sydney (90 minutes) and Canberra (90 minutes) and only 30 minutes from Wollongong, it is the ideal rural retreat.
Upstairs are two generous sized bedrooms with queen size beds and their own sitting areas, built in cupboards and views over the gardens. One of these bedrooms also has a single bed.
Downstairs is a third bedroom with twin beds (with an extra TV to entertain the kids). There is a sofa bed in the living area (if required).
There is a large combined living and dining area, along with the very well equipped kitchen. Generous breakfast provisions are provided, including cereals, sausages, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, free range eggs, bread and orange juice.
There is a separate laundry with Miele washing machine and dryer, a separate bathroom with shower and bath and a separate toilet.
A wide verandah and outdoor entertaining deck with built-in bbq and table seating 8, overlooks the acre of garden.

History, Nearby Villages & Things To Do

Sentinel Farm Cottage is nestled amongst trees, on land originally built as a golf course for the famous Hotel Robertson in the 1920s (later a monastery, now Ranelagh Guesthouse). It became a farm in the 1930s. Today Sentinel Farm has acres of landscaped gardens with daffodils in spring, rhododendrons, azaleas and roses and the red-gold colours of deciduous trees in autumn.
Sentinal Farm Cottage is minutes from the historic village of Robertson (2 km), a short drive to Burrawang and only 15 minutes from the cafés, restaurants and boutiques of Bowral. It is also close to Belmore, Carrington and Fitzroy Falls and various bushwalking tracks. There are numerous golf courses nearby, bicycle and horseriding, fishing, antique, craft and specialty shops, galleries, markets, vineyards, country pubs and more. Perhaps take a trip to the coast via the picturesque Kangaroo Valley.
