Great news from Lake Mountain - the resort can now offer visitors accommodation over the summer (November to mid May) - Snow Gum Lodge. Nestled at the heart of the resort, Snow Gum Lodge sleeps up to seven people and is for anyone and everyone. This fully self contained, double storey house/cottage/lodge offers a large range of modern facilities.

Immerse yourself in nature - a couple of nights in this unique alpine environment is an experience you will never forget. By staying on the mountain you can take your time to explore the environment either by foot (there are 37 kms of tracks!) or bike (BYO), refuel at Heights Café/Bar (discount for guests), then watch the sun set over the Yarra Valley and the Melbourne skyline before sleeping in the comfort of Snow Gum Lodge.

For your entertainment, there is a huge games room offering table tennis and board games, as well as a TV and DVD, and kids books - or just relax in the hammock.

All linen is supplied and the kitchen is fully equipped (including microwave, cook top, oven, fridge/freezer, electric jug, toaster and toasted sandwich maker). There are also laundry facilities and a vacuum cleaner.

In addition to bush walking, mountain bike riding and picnicing in the vicinity, the local region has further attractios such as scenic drives and lookouts, Steavensons Falls (the highest in Victoria), fishing at a trout farm, golf and many other attractions.

Spring wildflowers produce subtle and stunning displays after the snows melt. Dozens of varieties bloom from about November through to January, although exact flowering times will vary depending on the severity of the previous winter.
