Gum Nut Cottage offers superior accommodation for the discerning guest. The brilliant glass conservatory invites you to sit back and enjoy the stunning views. The cottage and conservatory are perfectly located to capture the superb view over green natural woodland with magnificent towering mountain ash gums, and beyond to a lush temperate rainforest.The antiques blend harmoniously with the comfortable modern furniture. Enjoy the large wide screen LCD TV, DVD and a free DVD library, complete with live concerts and movies (click through to our website to view our DVD library).
The kitchen and bathroom have been built using polished, 18th century baltic pine, wide floor boards. The fully equipped country blackwood kitchens was handcrafted here in Marysville.
Large French doors open from your bedroom onto the verandah, with uninterrupted views of the forest.
Quality fixtures and fitting have been used throught the cottage including custom designed Axminster woollen carpet. We only use quality fluffy "Private Collection" linen, including deluxe bath robes, and the best quality, comfortable mattresses like Sealy Posturpadic, with electric blankets. Gum Nut Cottage has climate control - simply select the temperature you want - on a digital remote control handset. Additionally, on the cool winter nights, relax in front of the warm glow of the real woodlog fire.
Gumnut Cottage has its own private luxury deep spa for two. Lush tree ferns seen through a wall of glass above the spa give the feeling of your own tropical indoor/outdoor bathroom.
Gum Nut Cottage is located in a lovely setting on the Steavenson River and on the edge of the Marysville State Forest, yet only 1.2 km from the Marysville main street. You can enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the beautiful surrounds. Hand feed the king parrots, rosellas and kookaburras with the seed provided. Keep an eye out for the Australian wildlife - wallabies, wombats, echidnas and lyrebirds. Perhaps try your luck at catching trout in the river!
