Kings Cottage
The latest addition to Riverside Cottages in Marysville, Yarra Valley - and the best - is the delightful NEW Kings Cottage - fit for a King (and also a Queen!).Kings Cottage offers superior accommodation with the latest in luxury and all the most modern digital equipment, including large LCD TV, DVD player, CD micro stereo system, digital door entry and digital fridge temperature control for your wine. Guests will stay in absolute comfort with reverse cycle heating/cooling and the warmth and ambience of a real wood log fire (wood provided) for those cool winter nights. The decor is stylish and there is a leather sofa as well as a leather queen size bed.
The modern chef designed kitchen has black pearl granite bench tops and glass mosaic splash backs and European stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher.
The cottage boasts a bathroom with a large sunken spa, a glass wall to capture the magnificent views, polished porcelain and marble mosaic tiles, a modern glass vanity and a separate shower with adjustable hand held massage rose.
The setting amongst the trees is superb - Kings Cottage is located on the edge of the Marysville State Forest - you can hand feed the king parrots, kookaburras and rosellas with the seed provided. Also many of our Australian wildlife treasures can be seen here including wallabies, wombats, koalas, echidnas, lyrebirds and dingoes.
There is so much to do in the Marysville area - bushwalking, birdwatching, fishing for trout in the river, snow play and cross country skiing at Lake Mountain or strolling round our quaint village and sampling the beautiful food on offer at the various restaurants and cafes. There is a guest directory in the cottage showing walking maps, places of interest and giving suggestions for day trips.
