The Cottage
Southdown Cottage, adjacent to the majestic original homestead, was built in 1864 as a caretaker's residence for the then large property.In more recent years it has been extended and refurbished as a cosy fully self-contained English Story Book style cottage with double bedroom and ensuite upstairs, double bunk room and ensuite downstairs, accommodating four.
The sitting and dining rooms with wood fireplace overlook the long pond and herb garden. Upstairs, the double bedroom with Juliet balcony overlooks the cottage garden. A complementary breakfast basket is supplied on arrival and the cottage is fully equipped. Southdown Cottage is the ideal place to sit back and relax.
Southdown Estate and Cottages
The cottage is one of three, set in 6 acres of formal landscaped gardens within the historic 1857 Southern Highlands "Southdown" estate.Few accommodation places offer 3 unique self-contained cottages. Even fewer offer a throughly original feel. Southdown does both, and demands that you dream a little.

Prices include local taxes and are in Australian Dollars. All prices are for the entire holiday house/holiday cottage, not per person.

Terms and conditions: 50% deposit to be paid when booking made. Balance to be paid 21 days prior to arrival date.
Payment in full if booking is made within 21 days of arrival date. Your credit card acts as a bond against any damage or loss CANCELLATION POLICY - 15% of the total booking value is payable if cancellation is made more than 21 days prior to the arrival date and the full value is payable if cancellation is made less than 21 days prior to arrival date. TRANSFERS - Transfer of booking to another date will be permitted if your booking can be replaced by another booking.
