Description
Cruise the Great Barrier Reef by catamaran on a budget-priced day trip from Cairns. You can snorkel, scuba dive or cruise in air-conditioned comfort. You’ll visit two spectacular Outer Reef dive and snorkel sites, and be served a typically Australian tropical lunch while on the water.
You’ll see a great variety of marine life at Norman Reef, including turtles, coral gardens and giant clams. The amphitheater-like sandy sea bed is surrounded by coral hillocks and the reef. Saxon Reef has hard corals, moray eels, lion fish, Maori wrasse and beautiful coral gardens. There’s excellent shallow snorkeling, and there are swim-through gullies scattered throughout the reef. On a sunny day the white sandy floor reflects the light and turns the area into a magical, picture-perfect reef scene.
Snorkeling is one of the best ways to view the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkeling equipment (including prescription masks) is included on the cruise and easy access to the water is available from lowered platforms. Why not join a free guided snorkeling tour, to get the most out of your Great Barrier Reef experience? You also have the option of going on an introductory or certified dive (if option is selected).
On your great day out on the reef you will be served an Aussie tropical buffet lunch, and morning and afternoon tea.
