Trail rides
Blazing Saddles can take you on great horse trail rides - into the Great Otway National Park and the Otway Ranges or down to the beach! Fabulous views and fabulous wildlife - koalas, kangaroos, eagles and more. You'll have a hootin tootin good time!We have about 40 horses in work including Arabs, Appaloosas, Clydesdale Cross and Stock Horses - there’s a horse for everyone - from the young to the old, from first timers to the most experienced.
We are registered with Parks Victoria to ride through the Angahook - Lorne State Park. Click through to our website for details of our licenses and insurance.
Pony rides an riding lessons
There are 6 lovely little ponies to provide pony rides for the littlies.We also provide riding lessons.
Staff and equipment
All Blazing Saddles staff have a minimum of two years equestrian experience and have undergone substantial practical and theoretical training. All guides are over 18 years of age and have level 2 First Aid.Equipment
We have a variety of saddles including stock, all purpose and dressage. We supply all the gear you need to ride - boots, helmets (ASA approved) and jackets - just bring along your cowboy pants!All riding equipment is inspected four times yearly and the results documented.
AT BLAZING SADDLES WE ARE COMMITTED TO RAISING THE STANDARD OF HORSE RIDING OPERATIONS NATIONALLY.
School and Conference Groups
We offer packages to suit your needs, catering for groups of 10 to 24 people per session. We have been running school and conference group tours for many years. Our guide to customer ratio is 1 to 6. Packages can include an ECO component and the day can form part of your VELS curriculum.Give us a call so that our staff can structure a wide range of programs and activities.
Parties
Kids Pony Parties - have a no stress party with us. Ride the ponies, eat in the cafe, play in the playground, it's all here.*BYO package is $25 plus $5 per pony ride (includes use of facilities; bring your own food).
*Catered package is $10 per child (this includes pies, sausage rolls, chips, drinks, lolly bags, pony ride and use of facilities).
Hens & Bucks Parites, Christmas Parties and Conference groups. Call us so that we can arrange something for you. You can hire our BBQ ($30) or we can arrange a catered package
Kids Clinics
Holiday fun for just $50 per session. Have an afternoon off! Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 12 noon to 4:30 pm. Includes a snack.After school clinic for just $25 per session. Every school day from 4 pm. Includes horse riding lesson and trail rides.
Merchandise and Gift Vouchers
We sell a variety of clothing including polar fleece jackets ($25), long sleeve tees ($20), tee shirts ($15), polar fleece vests ($35) and jumpers ($25). We also have gift vouchersCafe and Playground
The cafe offers delicious home made food and a range of drinks, as well as ice creams and sweets. Sit and relax after your horse ride or watch as the groups come in. Open weekends and school holidays. from 10 am till 5 pm.Location
We are easy to find - see the map below. We are only 3 kms off the Great Ocean Road. From Aireys Inlet, turn right at Bambra Rd, after 2 km, turn left at Old Coach Rd, and after 500 m turn left onto Bimbadeen Drive and you will find us after 500 m.

Participation guidelinesPony rides for children up to 8 years. Trail rides for childen 8 years or older.
