Description
Overview
We offer an extensive a la carte menu specialising in Italian home style cooking, including our stone fired pizza, for a unique dining experience. The Chef
Our chef, Emilio, was trained in Rome, in his home country of Italy. He also has extensive experience cooking Italian food in Sydney and the Southern Highlands. He has been cooking Italian home style food for the last 35 years. The Restaurant
Esco Pazzo is situated in an historical building (built in 1890) in the main street of Mittagong. There is seating for up to 120 people in a number of different rooms. On warmer days, there is the option of dining under the umbrellas in the courtyard. When the days begin to get cooler, dining is more comfortable close to the large, real flame gas burner. The Food
The restaurant offers an extensive menu, ranging from the enticing entrees which include Fresh Salt and Pepper Calamari, Garlic Prawns, Funghi Di Prato Parmigiana and Cocktail Di Scampi, through to the authentic Italian pastas and main meals. Be enticed by Tortellini Boscaiola, Penne Arrabbiata, Risotto Al Porcini or perhaps Pollo Valdostana, Filetto al Forno or Scaloppine Di Maiale Al Marsala. There is also a selection of true Italian style pizzas, all made using the freshest of ingredients. The pizzas have thin bases and are cooked directly on a hot stone without baking trays. Of course, there are various Italian breads to try, including Bruschetta and the stone fired bread, Focaccia, which are baked daily on the premises. Salads include Caesar, Caprese or garden salads.
You will also be tempted by the large display of delicious cakes and Italian pastries or perhaps the freshly made Tiramisu or Gelato a Pezzi.
