The Pear Tree Restaurant and Café
The Pear Tree Restaurant and Café offers authentic Mediterranean food cooked by its Italian chef. It is a popular eating place in Torquay, with its relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as morning and afternoon tea, 7 days a week.Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 8.30 am till 12 noon. For those who like a light breakfast, there is fruit toast, French toast served with maple syrup, or muesli served with seasonal fruit, yoghurt and honey. We do Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine, Omlette filled with ham, cheese and tomato, and Bagel served with smoked salmon, cream cheese and spinach. Also available are Egg and bacon sandwich, and Scrambled eggs, Fried eggs or Poached eggs served with toast. Then, of course, there is the Big Breakfast - fried eggs, bacon, tomato, spinach and mushroom. You can also order extras with any breakfast dish - avocado, bacon, mushroom, tomato or spinach.Lunch
Lunch is served from 12 noon until late afternoon. We do a wide range of lunch dishes including various foccacias (ham, vegie, salami and chicken). Pasta dishes include: Tortellini alla Panna (cooked with bacon and mushroom in a cream sauce), Linguini (cooked with fresh fish, garlic, olive oil, white wine, tomato), Rigatone (cooked with salami, onion, garlic and tomato sauce) and Linguini (Bolognese Sauce). Seafood dishes include: Panfried Local Mussels (cooked in a garlic white wine tomato sauce), Grilled Calamari (served with salad and an oil lemon dressing) and Fresh Oysters with vinaigrette. Vegetarian dishes include Chargrilled Eggplant, Tomato and Fetta Stack (served with olive parmesan) and Risotto (cooked with roasted pumpkin, spinach and parmesan). Salads include Caesar Salad and Spinach and Chicken Salad. We also do a Rolled Chicken Leg, a Minute Steak, Soup of the Day, garlic bread and Bruschetta.Dinner

We are licensed, but you can BYO wine.We do a wide range of drinks: coffees (cappuccino, café late, long black, flat white, macchiato, mocha and short black), soy, mug, a selecion of loose leaf tea, hot chocolate, iced chocolate, iced coffee, soft drinks, freshly squeezed juice, bottled juice, milkshakes and smoothies.
