Best of Brisbane Full Day Tour and River Cruise
Brisbane, Australia's only sub-tropical capital city, has a lot to offer the discerning visitor. At every turn, Brisbane is sure to surprise and delight with its charming mixture of trendy cafe club culture and historic sandstone buildings. What better way to see Brisbane than from land and water. Tour by coach through the CBD past prominent buildings and feel the heartbeat of the Brisbane past and present. You will tour past many historical and significant architectural buildings, including City Hall, Parliament House, St Johns Cathedral, Treasury Casino and much more.
Enjoy morning tea (included in price) by the river at the Breakfast Creek Hotel and explore the grounds of Newstead House, Queensland's oldest residence with its wide colonial verandahs overlooking the river.
Then see why Brisbane is known as 'the River City'. From Newstead House you will cruise up the river, past prestigious suburbs and historic buildings including the magnificent sandstone buildings of Customs House. Cruise under the Story Bridge and past the Kangaroo Point Cliffs to South Bank.
Sample the delights of colourful South Bank before an afternoon visit to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
Lone Pine is Australia's oldest and largest Koala sanctuary. This afternoon you will have the opportunity to 'cuddle a koala', an unforgettable and moving experience. You can have your photo taken cuddling a koala (additional expense). Lone Pine is also home to other unique Australian fauna such as kangaroos, wallabies and wombats.
On your return to the city, you will visit Mt Coot-tha Lookout and take in views spanning the Great Dividing Range to the West and Moreton Bay and Islands in the East.
