Description
The Riverside camping area provides the opportunity for great camping right next to the water, with over 220 sites (all unpowered) located on the Barwon River side of the sand spit between Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove. No site is more than a minute's walk to the river beach or a couple of minutes to the ocean beach. Many of the sites are right on the river’s edge and many are shaded by native vegetation. Enjoy spectacular sunsets across the river estuary in the evening.
To preserve the fragile coastal environment, the Riverside camping area is only available for the six weeks of peak summer - from late December to the end of January.
Toilets and laundry facilities are provided within the camping area and food vendors operate from mobile and static vans.
