Description
Ride the scenic Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to the lovely mountain village of Kuranda on a day trip from Cairns. After exploring Kuranda and its famous markets, you’ll return to Cairns on the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway with fantastic views along the way.
The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway takes you on an amazing journey over the rainforest canopy. You’ll stop at Barron Falls for a visit to the CSIRO Interpretive Center, where you’ll learn about the rainforest’s amazing ecosystem, view the mighty BarronFalls and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the rainforest boardwalk.
When you arrive in Kuranda, this lovely “Village in the Rainforest” is yours to explore. Shop at the famous craft markets or visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and colorful Birdworld.
Then it’s back to Cairns via a breathtaking journey on the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway, one of the world’s most scenic train routes. The route takes you through tunnels and across bridges spanning spectacular gorges.
Your journey ends at Freshwater Station, where your coach will be waiting to take you back to your hotel after a wonderful day at Kuranda.
