A day in the Hunter Valley- visiting world class wineries with wine tasting at Boutique Vineyards and larger vineyards of the Hunter Valley, along with a delicious morning tea and lunch.The Luxury Small Group Hunter Valley Day Tour
Start the day driving through the historic Rocks area in Sydney, before crossing over the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and heading out of Sydney through the leafy Northern Suburbs. Escape from the city through the brilliant sandstone outcrops of Ku-ring-gai National Park before reaching the mighty Hawkesbury River. Stop for a traditional Australian morning tea deep in the bush and then continue on to the historic township of Wollombi, where we will stop so you can sample the famous Dr Jurd's Jungle Juice from the Wollombi Tavern or a stroll through the village before departing for the Brokenback Range.We will climb the Escarpment up to Mt View and then descend into the Hunter Valley where you will begin your wine tasting at a few of the very special boutique wineries in the area. Chat to the owners, while admiring their cottage locations and let them show off the best of their vintages.
At the foothills of the Brokenback Range, enjoy a delicious café style lunch and then spend the afternoon visiting some of the larger vineyards for more superb wine tasting.
As the afternoon approaches, return to Sydney via the scenic freeway to conclude this relaxing and enjoyable day.
